A number of social activities are held throughout the season.

Annual Competition

A competition is held every season to find the best Adult and Junior angler in the club.

Its fished over two legs and the angler with the most trout caught over both legs is the Club Champion.

There are trophies to be won for the winners of each leg but the main prize is the Champions Cup.

The club competition will be decided over two outings the first in June the second in September - we aim if possible to have one as boat fishing and the other bank fishing. Please note that there is no obligation for members who wish to go on on one or both outings to take part in the competition. Registration for the competition will take place on the day.

Club Outing

The committee organise a club outing (as per above, for 2011 season there will be two outings) every year to either a brown trout water or rainbow trout fishery. It's a great day out, full of laughs and tales of the big one that got away. There's also a trophy for the angler who catches the most fish. As mentioned above members may attend outings without having , if they wish, to take part in the competition.
